The Spec's big brother
One the best racing games out there is Test Drive: Unlimited. A racing simulator that takes place all over Oahu, Hawaii. Best part is, its playable online so challenging other people in the free-roaming world is easy and fun. Unfortunately they don't have a Nissan SE-R Spec V, but they do have the next best thing, a Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 V-Spec. I picked up this car second in the game since it only gives roughly $40,000 to buy your first car. The Skyline costs $50,000 in the game.
Steering Wheel Update
After about my tenth call to Thrustmaster's tech support I finally was able to get someone who was actually worth anything. About two weeks has gone by since my last call. To my suprise yesterday, December 12, I received replacement parts for my broken right paddle shifter. I replaced the paddle and it seems fine. The only problem was getting the wheel completely open. I actually had to break the wheel at the top-center to get it open. Now there's a good eigth of an inch gap showing.
Just a side note
My racing wheel I use in the game, Thrustmaster Ferrari GT 2-1, as of 11/17, the up-paddle shifter is not working. So I haven't been on TDU for about a week. I've called tech support 3 times and I think they are finally sending me some parts to fix it with. I'll post an update when I have it fixed. |
