Removes stock air box and replaces it with a cold air induction system. Cold air equals more dense air. The denser the air the more power the engine will make. Uses stock MAF sensor. Produces an audible difference when accelerating. Adds about 8 HP and 10 lb/ft. Excellent bang for the buck at around $250.
XS Power 4-1 Header
An Excellent bang for the buck mod. Around $200 in a group buy in the myspecv.com forum. It also includes a free O2 spacer to trick the computer into thinking the pre-cat is still there. Expected gains are around 10-12 whp. Car definitely pulls harder especially in the top-end. Since I have a 2006 Spec, I had to install the O2 spacer in the 2nd O2 Sensor, which is located in the midpipe section of the exhuast. While also putting a plug-bolt in one of the bungs on the header.
NISMO Cat-Back Exhaust
Removes stock exhaust and replaces it with much less restrictive piping from the catalytic converter all the way back to and including the muffler. Produces an excellent sound when accelerating. During idle and cruising speeds it is barely louder than stock, can be a good option for oppressive police. Adds about 4 HP and 5 lb/ft. A nice addition at a around $650.
WRP Technology Throttle Body Spacer
"By increasing the overall plenum size the throttle body spacer yields 2-3 whp and 3-6lbs of torque. " Affordable power gains at around $54. Through a group buy in the MySpecv.com forums.
